Community service is very important to C.E.A. Scholtes & Associates, Certified Public Accountants. In addition to serving numerous nonprofit clients our Firm actively participates on the following Boards of Trustees/Directors:
National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Maryland Chapter
The mission of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.
The Maryland Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, founded in 1956, is a not-for-profit agency serving more than 4,500 people with MS and their families in Maryland except Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties. The Maryland Chapter is here to serve you through education, information and referral, counseling, assistance with employment concerns, social activities and more. Chapter programs are made possible by our fundraising success. The major fundraising campaigns are: The MS Walk, The MS150 Bike Tour and Dinner of Champions. Over 800 volunteers give their expertise and time to the Maryland Chapter serving on the board, leading support groups, raising funds, and many other tasks.

Church of the Immaculate Conception
The Parish of the Immaculate Conception, with special devotion to the Blessed Mother, our patroness, accepts God's call to proclaim the Gospel through our commitment to evangelization, worship, education, service and stewardship.
Chris serves as the chairman of the finance committee of the Parish and also on the Parish Council.
Towson Catholic High School
Towson Catholic is the oldest coeducational Catholic high school in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. The Archdiocese of Baltimore is the oldest Archdiocese in the United States of America. Since 1922 when it was founded as a parish school for the Church of the Immaculate Conception, it has prepared young men and women of all races, religions, and ethnic origins for higher education and lifelong success. Within a changing and problematic world, the school fosters a lasting commitment to faith as well as personal responsibility for oneself and others.
Chris serves on the board of directors of the Towson Catholic
Covenant House New York, the first and largest center of the nation's foremost agency serving homeless, runaway and at-risk youth, opens its doors 24 hours a day for teens in need. Each year over 9,000 youngsters living on New York streets seek out its Crisis and Community Centers for safety, shelter, food and someone to talk to -- and that's just the beginning!
Covenant House is the nation's largest privately funded childcare agency serving homeless, runaway and at-risk youth. Begun over 30 years ago when six young runaways were given shelter from a snowstorm, Covenant House now has programs in 17 U.S. cities and Latin America. More than 47,000 young people are aided annually by Covenant House in its national and international programs.

Maryland School for the Blind
The Maryland School for the Blind is a private, nonprofit school serving children from infancy to age 21 who are blind, visually impaired and multiply disabled. MSB serves students from every county of Maryland and Baltimore City.
Chris serves on the Executive Committee as treasurer and also serves on the board of directors.
